Professional & Community Involvement
Robert (Bob) is the Senior Partner of Gould, Blake & Company CPAs. For more than four decades, he has been helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate their tax and financial needs. Known to most of his clients simply as “Bob,” he has built his career on trusted relationships, practical advice, and a genuine commitment to helping clients succeed.
Bob earned his bachelor's degree from St. Bonaventure University and his Master of Science in Taxation from Seton Hall University. He began his public accounting career in audit with KPMG, working in both the Short Hills, New Jersey and Philadelphia offices before transitioning his focus to taxation. A Certified Public Accountant since 1979, originally licensed in New York and now licensed in New Jersey, Bob brings decades of technical knowledge and real-world experience to every client engagement.
In 1991, Bob established his own accounting practice by carrying on the legacy of an established local firm. Over the next three decades, he built lasting relationships with generations of clients, earning a reputation for personalized service, technical expertise, and practical guidance. That practice ultimately became the foundation of Gould, Blake & Company CPAs.
Bob is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) and the Pennsylvania Society of Tax and Accounting Professionals. He has proudly served the community through the Phillipsburg Rotary Club for more than 30 years, where he currently serves as Treasurer. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Firth Youth Center, reflecting his longstanding commitment to serving the communities and families of this area.
When he isn't working with clients, Bob enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren and remaining active in the organizations that make the Phillipsburg community stronger.
